EDG had a company rodeo sat. June 13th and requested to book 4 boats, I had Capt. Mike, Capt. Kory, Capt. Chet and myself Capt. Scott Poche` that fished for the rodeo. Between the 4 boats we caught and released over a 100 redfish. One of the boats wanted to catch trout, but they did not do so well with the wind blowing out of the west at 15mph. So they joined us catching Redfish for the day.
Most of the Redfish were caught on gold spoons, but when they quit biting in the middle of the day, we decided to use market bait and continue to catch fish. Even myself Capt. Scott used market bait when the bite slowed on artificial baits. This is something I do not usually do, but sometimes tough times call for tough measures. And yes I did get ribbed for it from all the guys, since I come from the ole bass fishing days, and do not like to use market bait unless all else is avoided. But it was a great day of fishing, and another great day on the water with a good bunch of guys Tj, Brad and David.
Thanks again guys, It was a pleasure fishing with you, even though your winning sheephead stuck me in my legs. ” I really dislike those things”… I have posted a few pictures of the 20 Redfish, 3 Sheepshead and 1 Black Drum we kept for the day.
I want to thank the whole crew at EDG for booking with us and hope everyone had a great time. All the food and hospitality was enjoyed by all, I look forward to next years rodeo and fishing with all of you in the future.

Good Luck and Good Fishing!
Capt. Scott Poche`
My group fished with Capt. Chet and we had a great time. Capt. Chet put us on the fish right away at daybreak. He had us catching fish all morning and we probably caught a total of 40-45 reds. Capt. Chet was very personable and nice guy. We all shared stories and laughs while reeling in the reds. I had a great time and I know the rest of my group did too. Thanks Capt. Chet!
Captain Scott, I just want to thank you for a great time of fishing. You took me, my son P.J., Randy Tingstrom, and Todd Poche out on Friday June 12th in the late afternoon. We went to Lake Salvador and started to catch a few reds. After picking up a few there and a few here, you noticed one bird striking the water. You moved the boat closer and said look at the red fish on top of the water guys. Captain Scott noticed from far away that the red fish were schooling. What looked like just waves to most of us, on closer inspection turned out to be red fish jumping on top of each other at the surface of the water. We threw our gold spoons out into the bubbling water and was amazed to watch the red fish fighting to get the spoon. All five of us had a red fish on the line at the same time. In no time we had our limit and left them biting. It was an incredible sight and speaking for myself and my son, it was an incredible life experience that we will talk about for a long time. Once again Thank you Captain Scott and we look forward to going fishing with you again in the future.
