One of our team Captains Mike McGovern took some very nice people from AL. David, Jeanie and Chris out fishing on Saturday morning. They left Lafitte Harbor Marina at 6:00am with the same thing I did in mind, heading out to Barataia Bay to catch a few Speckled Trout, but the thunderstorms in the bay kept them from going south as well. They also took a turn for the west and went to Little Lake area to try and catch some Redfish instead, while waiting for a chance to get out in the bay to catch some trout. But the thunderstorms did not make that possible for them either. They fished the shallow ponds near Redeye Bay instead and caught some really nice Redfish. They ended the day catching 17 Redfish and 1 Black Drum, fishing with Black/chartruese tail Bayou Chub minnows and Gold Spoons.
David said he and his wife Jeanie, and son Chris had a great day fishing with the Capt. Mike and wanted to thank Capt. Mike for a great day on the water with his family. this was New Orleans Fishing At Its Finest!
