Today I had the opportunity to fish with Terry Theriot, Mike Garrett, Johnny Landry and Lonnie Theriot from Baton Rouge. Trout was on everyone’s mind and the day proved just right for what we set out to accomplish in Four Bayou Pass, brining the days catch to 108 beautiful Trout! As you can see in our pictures, this great group of guys, me included, couldn’t have asked for a more ideal day. This was definitely one to remember. Fantastic job you guys! It was my pleasure fishing with you all and I look forward to doing it again in the future.

Monday June 8th I had a trip with a Matt, Mike and Brandon from northshore. We went out looking for Redfish, after the guys asked me if I thought we could catch a few reds. I have been doing great catching Redfish the last few weeks, and today was no exception. We caught 60 Redfish for the day, keeping our daily limit and releasing the rest to fight another day.
All most all of the reds we caught were on gold spoons, with only a few that were caught on black/chartruese tail Bayou Chub Minnows with a spinner.
Thank you guys for a great trip, I look forward to fishing with you in the future.

Sat. June 6th and sun. June 7th I had the pleasure of fishing with my good friend and client Bevo and his friends Danny and Jeff. They came down to Lafitte from MS. looking to catch Redfish, and we did just that, we caught a little over 50 Redfish each day, releasing all but 17 we wanted to keep on sat. and 20 nice keepers on sun. bringing our catch to a grand total of just over a 100 redfish for the two days of fishing.
The weather was beautiful both days, light winds and clear water conditions. All the ingredients we needed to catch Redfish for both days.
Most of the Redfish were caught on 1/2oz Johnson Gold spoons and black/chartruese tail spinner bait with Bayou Chub minnows and a 1/4oz jighead.
Great job guys! this was New Orleans fishing at its best!
Thank you guys for booking with me again this year and look forward to fishing with you again soon.

On Wensday June 3rd I had a charter trip with my friend and client from MS, Stan and his wife Teresa, and Tim and his wife Angela. With thunderstorms brewing from the south near the Gulf Of Mexico, we headed out for the west side of Barataria Bay to try and catch some trout. We stopped at a oilfield platform near grand Isle where the water was nice and the tide was coming in from the gulf. There were baitfish all over the surface and some hungry Speckled Trout under them. We caught 25 trout around the platform untill the thunderstorms ran us away with a gusty southeast wind and rain. So we ran into the Hackberry Bay area to get away from the rain, and found some birds diving on the west side of the bay. We caught another 15 to 18 Speckled Trout before it started raining on us and a waterspout ran us to a friends camp for shelter. two hours later when the rain let up, we went back out to catch a few more trout and with luck has it, we caught another 20 or so keeper trout and a few throwbacks that were not legal.
We ended the day with 63 Speckled Trout in the fish box, another great day of trout fishing with the weather being so nasty.
Thank you Stan, Teresa, Tim and Angela for booking your trip with me again, Its always a pleasure fishing with you, and I look forward to doing it again in the future.

Sunday May 31st was a great day for a fishing trip. I took One of our good friends and longtime clients Warren, His friend Gary and Gary’s son Ross on a trip to the beach in search of some hungry Speckled Trout, and we found them! we had a great day catching 100 Speckled Trout, our boat limit for the day, 1 nice Channel Mullet and a few nice White Trout. We caught and released 40 to 50 more that were not legal size to keep. All the trout we caught were biting on glow beetles on 1/4oz jigheads.
After catching our limit of Speckled Trout, We went into the shallow marsh looking for Redfish, and in about an hour we caught 8 nice reds and lost a few that broke our lines. Not a bad day at all, this was New Orleans Fishing at its Best!

On Sat May 30th I had a trip with My friends and clients Tony Lytle, Bill and Liam Janowsky from MS. we headed out to Barataria Bay looking to catch a few nice Speckled Trout, with the wind blowing northeast at about 15 knots, we were not able to find clean water on the north end of the bay, so I headed out for the beach near Coupe Belle Pass in search of clean water and some hungry trout.
It was a bumpy ride crossing Barataria Bay to the southern end, but when we arrived at the beach it was fairly calm and the water was pretty and green. All the ingredients were there to catch a nice mess of trout, clean water and bait everywhere, except the tide was coming to and end. But we did catch 38 nice Speckled Trout and throwing back atleast 40 to 50 others that would not make the legal size, fishing under the birds in the Gulf of Mexico. We were casting glow bettles tightline before the tide quite completely and they stopped biting all together. So I headed into the marshes near Port Sulfur to catch some Redfish, and we ended the day catching 15 Redfish on black and chartruese Bayou Chubs Minnows with a 1/4 oz jighead. All in all we had a great time and caught some good fish. New Orleans Fishing at its best!
