While visiting from California, Mike and Scratch took advantage of some spring Redfish action in Lafitte, Louisiana.

The chilly morning quickly warmed up  to a perfect mid 70’s with very little wind. In no time we landed our generous limits of Redfish.  We topped off a great day of fishing with catching and releasing before heading back to the dock with our limits in tow.

I want to thank you guys for fishing with me today.  I had a great time.  I look forward to fishing with you again soon.

Dad and son team, Sean and Coleman were ready get some time in out on the water while visiting New Orleans.

The early morning temps were in the mid 60’s with it quickly warming up to the mid 70’s.  It was a prefect day to be out on the water. The Bay Round area was the place to be to land the Redfish today.  We had a handful of Redfish that managed to dodge the hook. However, we quickly made up for the ones that got away by landing 11 Redfish and 1 Drum.  By 12:30 we were back at the dock with our catch in tow.

Today I had the pleasure of fishing with Larry and Wes from Bowling Green, KY.

With reports of a dense fog advisory, we lucked out. The Lafitte area was clear and we had no problem launching at safe-light.Our morning run temps in the 50’s quickly warmed up to the low 70’s by noon.  A cool and sunny spring day with dead calm winds topped off this day of landing these beautiful Redfish. We could not have asked for a more perfect day to be out on the water. The Redfish in the Bay Round area were biting with every cast.  By 10:00 a.m. we caught our limits.  We continued to catch and release throughout the afternoon.  With the cooler brimming with Redfish, we were back at the dock by 1:00 p.m.

I had an awesome time fishing with you today. I look forward to seeing you guys again soon.  Have a safe trip back home.

FEBRUARY, 2016

I had the pleasure of fishing with Don and Bernadette from Kansas today. As the fog slowly burned off, we headed out to the Bay Dupont area with a mission of reeling in some Speckled Trout. By 9 a.m. the winds died down as the temperatures rose into the mid 60s. This made for ideal conditions for slamming the Speckled Trout and we were not disappointed. By noon we landed 75 Speckled Trout.  We arrived back at the dock by 1:30 p.m. with our limits in tow. What an awesome day!
