Saturday Aug 1st.

Today I had the pleasure of fishing with Stewart Rush, Trey Armato, Jordan Montgomery and Greg Hepburn.
We left the dock at Lafitte Harbor Marina around 6:30am and headed out for Barataria Bay, to go try our luck for Speckled Trout, only to be detoured because of a line of thunderstorms crossing the bay. It turned out to be a day of Redfishing for our crew, when the rain would not let us go south to Barataria Bay. So instead we went into the shallow marsh near Hackberry Bay and started hunting Redfish. The wind was calm even though we had a few nasty thunderstorms hanging around from the south.
On our first stop we caught one keeper red and I missed one. I decided to move and try an area we caught some Redfish a few days before, near Turtle Bay/ Little Lake area. This was the HOT SPOT for us today, we caught our boat limit of 25 Redfish, 1 Black Drum and 2 Sheepshead that ate a Black/Chartruese tail Bayou Chub minnow. The thunderstorms passed to the south of us and it turned out to be a great day of fishing after all. Everyone in the boat that day caught fish and we all had a great time. And as always, this was New Orleans Fishing At Its Finest!

I want to thank Stewart, Trey, Jordan and Greg for booking their trip with myself Capt. Scott Poche` and Crescent City Fishing Charters Inc. I had a great time fishing with all of you guys, and I look forward to doing it again in the future.
